The team
Yakir and Jo have worked together harmoniously for many years.
Yakir’s career has taken him from photography to written journalism and back again. He started as an apprentice in a photography agency in Israel, then went on to become a journalist, spending more than twenty years working in print and broadcast media before rediscovering his love of photography. Among his academic credentials he has a PgD in Film Production from Leeds School and an HND in Photography from City of Westminster College.
Jo’s fascination and passion for photography was sparked at an early age and led her to pursue an Honours degree in photography at Southampton Solent University, where she was taught creative innovation, technique and the practical rudiments of photography. Following on from university Jo gained years of invaluable photographic experience working for commercial photography firms and portrait studios. This solid background and experience inspired her to set-up her own independent freelance business.
